Skyking Courier (commonly known as Skyking) started under the name Shree Shyam Air Service in the year 1976. It all began from a small office in Surat,Gujarat where, Shri Sanwarmal Biyani founded the company at a time, wherein the need for express delivery of documents and parcel was of dire need as the Indian Postal Service was the only mail/shipment delivery player in the market. During the initial few years the company provided express delivery services in very limited cities such as Delhi, Surat, Bombay (now Mumbai) and Calcutta (now Kolkata), typically to the cloth market traders, who needed quick delivery services between these markets for cloth samples, bills/documents etc.

In those days, there were dedicated line-men who used to travel to and fro between these locations to provide express delivery and do pickup for the return journey. With the liberalization in economy and the boost in air traffic, the company experienced phenomenal growth. Skyking provides highly reliable service in not only the urban centres of India but in very interior areas. Skyking also provides different transit options such as Air, Train or Surface option depending on the needs and requirements of the customer.

In the late nineties the courier industry witnessed tremendous growth and reached newer heights, and that is when the game changed, where-in it was not just about delivering a shipment, but the information about the shipment became highly critical. Skyking has been striving hard to keep in-sync with latest technology and provided a highly reliable shipment tracking solution to its customers. Skyking has become a next-door brand and has provided a lot of value to its customers.

At present, Skyking serves more than 1400 locations across India and delivers more than 125,000 shipments on a daily basis and has established itself as a trusted brand in the market.
